Garden Bay to Cortes Bay today
We left Garden Bay at 7:30 this morning with blue skies and a light breeze. Well, that didn't last long. As we proceeded north up Malaspina Strait the winds kept increasing and reached a peak of 27.5 knots. The wind was directly in the bow, so the ride was comfortable. Lady Lynn is a good sea boat and the 3' waves didn't create anything more than some wind driven salt water blowing up on the bow and pilothouse windows.
The winds subsided when we reached Lund, but picked up again as we arrived in Cortes Bay. It's blowing a constant 10 knots here at the dock and the temperature is 81F. I washed the boat and cleaned the windows. There are only two boats here at the moment. It's now officially shorts weather. (Rod)
