No fireworks in a Marine Park, but that didn't stop Mother Nature
Yesterday was the 4th of July, but we are in Canada and that doesn't mean much to them. Their similar holiday is celebrated on July 1st. We are anchored in Prideaux Haven with about 20 boats about half US and half Canadian. It was a beautiful day and we cruised the various anchorages here in the tender. The Canadians wished us a happy 4th of July and waved as we passed by.
After dinner we watched the clouds form and then become darker. I turned the anchor light on a little earlier than normal and it became much darker. In the distance we could hear thunder. It wasn't long and we could see lighting flashes and count the seconds until the thunder arrived. Next came the rain which poured in torrents from the skies. People were scrambling to close hatches that had been open during the warm day.
Mother Nature provide our 4th of July fireworks without violating the Park rules. It was quite a show.
