Genoa Bay Marina (almost home)
We are nearing the end of our cruise. After more than a week of smoke filled days we are finally able to see blue skies and more than a mile. Photography has been impossible since every image looks milky. We arrived at Genoa Bay Marina yesterday and the weather was greatly improved. We had a great lunch and dinner at the Genoa Bay Cafe located at the head of the dock where we are moored.
Our plan is to leave tomorrow (Sunday) for home in La Conner. I think we are ready to be home. We have fallen into a routine that resembles the routine we have at home. We have actually scheduled some appointments for next week. I really need a haircut!. Since we haven’t seen our mail for almost 3 months it will take a while to see what surprises there are in that pile.
There are several boat projects that need to be attended to once we are off the boat. A through cleaning is in order. Shadow’s hair is everywhere and floors need a good wash and wax. I think Shadow will be glad to get home too. He will have more territory to roam.
